If collaboration is—and will remain—at the heart of the centre’s activities, it takes on a particularly prominent role this season, carried by long-standing local partners. This program foregrounds encounters between artists, audiences, and disciplines through projects and gatherings, many of which take place as part of Radio-Hull, an initiative by our neighbours and friends at the DAÏMÔN production centre. For AXENÉO7, the collaborations that shape this season reflect a commitment to working together, strengthening the ties that bind us—an invitation to listen, to exchange, and, above all, to be powerful together.

AXENÉO7 opens its fall programming with Se limiter au maximum, an exhibition by the collective Simon Brown, Pavel Pavlov, Marc A. Reinhardt, and Maude Veilleux, presented across the centre’s three galleries from September 13 to October 19, 2024. Conceived as an evolving project, the exhibition transforms through a series of periodic interventions and explores—at the margins—fringes, edges, and vacant lots. In parallel, the centre will present an audio essay by Dalie Giroux, which will be broadcast on Radio-Hull on September 25 at 7 p.m.

On September 13, during the opening night, AXENÉO7 and DAÏMÔN will also unveil work by Lina Choi, developed through a joint residency: an exclusive performance will take place at 7 p.m. as part of Radio-Hull. The artist will also present Waterscape / Paysage aquatique in La Filature’s Members’ Salon through October 19.

Building on the success of the Salons, AXENÉO7 invites you to a fourth iteration on October 12, in collaboration with the Maison des arts littéraires, on the theme of Transformations. A dinner conversation will bring together Edith Brunette, Kama La Mackerel, Karina Pawlikowski, and Maude Veilleux.

In November, the centre hosts, for the second time, the launch of the live arts festival Actoral, organized by our collaborators at Le Trillium. On November 5, AXENÉO7 will host the opening night and special programming. As part of Actoral 24, AXENÉO7 also partners with Le Trillium to present an off-site performance by Daniel Barrow at La Nouvelle Scène Gilles Desjardins on November 7, 2024, where the artist will offer a selection of works in progress in the form of a performative presentation.

Throughout November, AXENÉO7 continues to build on this momentum by welcoming initiatives from the communities around it. From November 6 to 29 (opening on November 20), the centre invites you to La Filature’s Members’ Salon to discover two projects from the 2023–2024 edition of Racines plurielles, along with a zine and a video-poem.

Finally, to celebrate the holiday season and bring this program to a close, AXENÉO7 invites you on December 20 from 6 p.m. to Salon #5: Dissonances productives—a convivial, discursive evening bringing together the Bagatelle collective and artists Edith Brunette and Joshua Schwebel, followed by the launch of a collective zine.
