This book was put together from three exhibits that I commissioned in the gallery spaces of Axe Néo-7 art contemporain, an artist centre located in Hulll, in the Outaouais region of Quebec: En hommage à un cadeau d'Eva Hesse à Sol Lewitt, De causis et tractatibus (Of things and treaties), and En cause : Brancusi. This document is like the writ of instruction — after the fact — as when preparing a case for judgement. It is thus necessary to provide instruction, to shed some light on its facts and circumstances. 3 manières d'instruire l'inventaire seeks to broaden the span of the paradigms maintained by the concept of these three events. — Richard Gagnier
