Rodrigo Medrano is THE centre's DJ, always on hand at our exhibition openings to set the mood for any event. For Les Filafêtes, he'll be opening his set with an experimental Micro-concert and visuals by Annie Socoria.
Rodrigo Medrano
Born and raised in Mexico City, Rodrigo Medrano aka Gloryhull is a plant and music lover. Colorful tropical and lush greens are favourites of his. Female voices, sounds of diverse languages, cultures and genres are his musical path of choice. Playing music on a bike path, in an art gallery, ice rink, forest rave, dive bar or virtual venue brings joy to him and his records.
Annie Socoria
Annie Socoria is an Ottawa based experimental audiovisual artist. She creates atmospheric ambient soundscapes and dynamic abstract video using a variety of methods (modified and hand-built electronics, hardware and software synthesizers, “no-input” mixing, audio and video feedback, analog video glitch, cassette tape loops, field recordings, and more). Sound and light are crafted using a multidisciplinary approach with a focus on exploration and the discovery of unconventional techniques.
