Spring programming
- Seasonal programming
Things carry on.
This spring, AXENÉO7 turns its attention to forms of knowledge that are passed on through the hands, through experience, and through the repetition of everyday gestures and rhythms. Through their recurrences, their applications and their transformations, these forms of knowledge teach us to work with what is already there, to build upon what already exists, and to pay attention to what remains.
This focus thus runs through the centre’s seasonal activities, which explore hybrid forms, where artistic expression slips into everyday life, and where form arises from function.
Throughout the season, our focus extends to the exhibition Le ver creuse ses tunnels dans La pomme par laquelle je bois by Maude Arès, as part of the PRAXIS programme; it then shifts to Clélia Berthier’s research and creation residency, welcomed as part of the cross-residency partnership with Le Lieu Unique; it opens up to forms of transmission and engagement through the workshop Le corps comme source de l’imaginaire, presented by Le Théâtre indépendant, Charles Voyer and JJ Houle, in collaboration with Le Théâtre Catapulte, Théâtre Action and L’Imagier; finally, it continues beyond the walls with Fait Maison, as part of the eighth edition of the Foire d’art alternatif de Sudbury, organised by the Galerie du Nouvel-Ontario.
Endless and without beginning, spring invites us to recognise what is already taking shape within (and between) us.
