Exhibition
- Exhibition
Special consideration will be given to projects that go beyond a simple adaptation and include at least one new work, element, or performance in their proposal.
Through its exhibition program, AXENÉO7 offers support, guidance, and exposure for individual or group projects led by artists, groups, curators, or collectives.
The program is structured around two complementary components. The first supports projects in development, which require an initial residency period and assistance from the first steps to their finalization and exhibition. The second component features projects that have already been presented, which are adapted, relocated, reactivated, or brought into context of AXENÉO7’s spaces. Depending on the specific needs of each project and the centre’s capacity, projects may be displayed in one to three galleries.
CONDITIONS :
Proposed projects must relate to one of the two components of the program.
- Component 1 — This component is intended for projects that require preparatory work prior to their submission. Proposals must specify the production plans, the planned phases, and how the initial residency will contribute to the project’s development.
- Component 2 — This component is intended for projects that have already been submitted, initiated, or developed elsewhere, and for which AXENÉO7 represents a new phase of dissemination. Proposals must outline the project’s trajectory as well as its previous presentations.
REMUNERATION :
Artists participating in the exhibition program will receive remuneration for their participation. This will be determined in accordance with the rates recommended by the RAAV and CARFAC, the nature of the project, the extent of the commitment required, and the centre’s remuneration policies.
AXENÉO7 acknowledges that time spent on research, production, presence at the centre, transmission, mediation and encounters with audiences constitutes artistic work in its own right. Depending on the project, remuneration may include fees for creation, research residency, presentation, performance, mediation or public activities.
The costs associated with carrying out the project — production, materials, travel, accommodation or technical requirements — may also be discussed with the selected artists, depending on the resources available and the proposed hosting arrangements.
