Inspired by Mexican cosmogony, artist Aymara Alvarado Sanchez will perform ‘cosmogónica’ electronic music in which she will invoke the Mayan star beings. Composed using pre-Hispanic and electronic instruments, the performance will explore the interweaving of ancient music and experimental electronic music.

Coming from a family of artists, which led her to the Real Academia de San Carlos in Mexico City, Aymara Alvarado Sánchez is recognised for her versatility across the fields of visual arts, performance and musical improvisation. She currently combines artistic projects with her professional role at the LAB, where she works to promote accessibility and the democratisation of the arts for all members of the community. Her current
approach involves combining traditional and contemporary methods, in the hope of breaking down barriers and bridging cultural and environmental divides. Her work ranges from street performance to indigenous ceremonies, blending these multidisciplinary techniques and developing her avant-garde style by engaging with the catharsis of human emotions.
