AXENÉO7 presents Serge Olivier Fokoua (Gatineau) and artists duo, Geneviève et Matthieu (Rouyn-Noranda), in collaboration with Galerie UQO and DAÏMÔN, as part of Rencontres interuniversitaires des maîtrises en arts visuels (RIMAV).

Serge Olivier Fokoua was born in Douala, Cameroon in 1976. He lives and works in Cameroon and Canada. He studied art at the renc’art workshop in Yaoundé and then at the Université de Yaoundé. He also studied cultural management at the Institut für Kultur Konzept in Hamburg, Germany, and an MFA at the Université Laval in Québec. Working mainly in installation and performance, his work is touched upon all aspects of the visual arts. He has participated in many exhibitions and projects in Cameroon, Nigeria, South Africa, Senegal, France, Germany, Poland, Japan and the United States. He was the recipient of a bursary for a residency at the Vermont Studio Center in the United States. He a co-founding member of the collective Les palettes du Kamer, and has been Artistic Director of the Rencontres d’Arts Visuels de Yaoundé (RAVY) since 2008.
